A Visual Sales Engine for PACO’s Steel Frames and Halls
With over 25 years of experience, the Lengerich-based company has grown into a major ”system hall” builder, known for providing fixed-price solutions for everything from vehicle showrooms and production facilities to agricultural storage. Their full-service approach covers the entire lifecycle of a project, including planning, building permit applications, and final assembly by expert teams.
Our long-term partnership with PACO, which began in 2018, focused on taking their complex engineering and pricing logic and making it accessible through a high-performance digital sales tool.
The Challenge
Complex Pricing and Technical Dependencies
Before the project, quoting for industrial steel halls was a slow, resource-heavy process due to the massive number of variables involved in every build.
Manual Pricing Calculations:
Generating a quote required specialists to manually input data into their internal SAP system, creating a bottleneck for new leads
Geographic Variables:
The cost of a steel structure is heavily influenced by local conditions—specifically snow and wind loads—which previously had to be calculated manually for every specific site.
Data Management:
Maintaining accurate, up-to-date pricing for a vast range of materials and components was a constant administrative burden for the sales team.
The Solution
A Real-Time Smart Hall Configurator
We developed a sophisticated web-based hall configurator that acts as a bridge between PACO’s internal pricing logic and the customer’s actual need for a building.
Live SAP-Synced Pricing:
The configurator is directly connected to the company’s internal logic. As customers customise their hall, the system calculates a technically accurate price in real-time.
Automated Snow and Wind Load Calculations:
Using a Google Maps API integration, the tool automatically identifies the project’s exact location and elevation. It then calculates the required snow and wind load capacity and instantly adjusts the structural reinforcements and pricing accordingly.
Omnichannel Utility:
The tool serves both as a public-facing lead generation engine for customers and as a primary internal tool for PACO’s sales representatives to generate professional quotes in minutes.
Results and Benefits
Precision, Speed, and Growth
The digital transformation has allowed PACO to scale its sales operations while maintaining extreme technical accuracy.
High-Volume Lead Generation:
The tool generates thousands of leads annually, providing PACO with a steady stream of customers who have already engaged with the PACO’s building offerings and understand the price point.
Technical Error Prevention:
By automating the calculation of snow and wind loads, the risk of human error in the quoting phase is eliminated, ensuring every structure is safe and compliant with local regulations.
Operational Efficiency:
Integrating the tool into the internal sales workflow has drastically reduced the time spent on manual administrative tasks, allowing the team to focus on closing deals and project management.
